Fixing Your Tea Equipment the Way

Cleaning Your Tea Equipment the Pure Method

If you are in an area which has hard water, then you are more likely to get a buildup of limescale on the interior of your pot or your teapot over time. This may be tough to eliminate if you do not do it regularly. Limescale — also called calcium carbonate — is an alkali; therefore you’ll need a mild acid in order to eliminate it. Lemon juice is among the best ways to naturally eliminate limescale. It’s also good rather than industrial cleaning products when you have allergies or sensitive skin. Simply fill the interior of your pot or teapot with lemon juice and then leave it overnight. In the morning, pour the juice away and run water through your pot a few times.

A spotless teapot means that you will have a tasty and untainted cup of tea. Be certain that you regularly wash your tea-making gear so that you always get a fresh and tasty drink.
If you are among those two billion Americans that beverage tea every single day, you will learn the glory of the early morning cup. Whether you go for earl grey, mint tea, or a strong blend with milk; that first cup is that which can put you on the path to having a great day. But if your tea-making equipment isn’t properly cleaned, your delicious brew may flavor grainy and disagreeable. Instead you may use natural cleaning techniques that will give you a beautiful, refreshing cup of tea
When it has been a long time as you cleaned your pot or teapot, then there might be more stubborn deposits of limescale. It’s possible to deal with these by making a pickle. Mix 200ml of each and depart in your pot or teapot overnight. In the morning, top up the pot with water and then boil it prior to leaving the water to cool. Once you have done this, run on the pot through with cold water a few times to wash the pickle, before you use it .

The organic tannins and dark colour of your own tea may over time cause stains around the interior of your teapot. These are unsightly and will affect the flavor of your tea. Denture pills — that comprise bicarbonate of soda — are an excellent way to eliminate the brown stains. Boil the kettle and then fill the teapot with hot water, then drop in two or three denture tablets. Leave these fizzing inside your teapot to get a couple of hours. Once you have emptied these out, use a soft cloth that’s soaked in lemon juice and vinegar to remove any remaining residue. Use a straw brush to clean the inside of the spout of your teapot — these may be purchased in most grocery stores.
